ABOUT THE FIRM
THEBANKRUPTCYCLINIC.COM is a project of Maximov & Associates, a New York law firm dedicated to helping people solve their financial problems through Bankruptcy Law. The firm was founded by Maxim Maximov, Esq, a graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law who received extensive training in Bankruptcy Law at St. John's University School of Law Bankruptcy LLM program, the nation’s premiere bankruptcy program. We urge our prospective clients to learn about bankruptcy law on their own and then to give us a call. An informed client is our best client.
Also, we believe that few things are more despicable than taking advantage of people in financial distress. Therefore, our promise to you is that we will not recommend bankruptcy unless we are convinced that it is the right solution for YOUR CASE.
PROCESS & PRICES
Working with us is easy and affordable. Call us for a free consultation. We will listen to your story. If we believe that bankruptcy is the right solution for your situation we will arrange an in person meeting at our offices. If we decide to work together we will sign a written agreement that will set out the price and the extent of our representation, your rights and our duties to you.
If you are a bit tech-savvy like most of our clients, we will send you an online questioner about your financial situation that you can fill out at your convenience. Once we receive all the relevant information from you, we will review and file your bankruptcy petition with the court. A date will be set, usually a month later, for a meeting with a trustee, also called the 341 meeting. The trustee is an attorney appointed by the court to investigate the truthfulness of your petition and to oversee the bankruptcy process. An attorney will accompany you to the 341 meeting to help you. If the trustee will not find anything objectionable with your petition you should get the allowable debts discharged within two to three months.
